COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A free outing in Colorado is being touted as one of the nation's top free destinations.
Thousands flock to Colorado Springs' Garden of the Gods each year, and now the park is being recognized for its value as a free tourist attraction.
In one of its top 10 contests, 10Best.com is ranking the top tourist attractions across the U.S., and Garden of the Gods is currently reigning in in the second spot.
Narrowly edged out by the Saint Louis Zoo, Garden of the Gods has beat out other beautiful and iconic locations like New York's Central Park and Boston's Freedom Trail.
The contest isn't yet over, so voters are encouraged to continue voting for their favorite location on the list.
Currently, Garden of the Gods is the only location in competition to make the list.
