Fun, cheap water parks for Memorial Day weekend

DENVER — If you're looking for a fun way to enjoy Memorial Day weekend without spending too much money, there are plenty of affordable options for you and your family.

Centennial Center Park, Centennial

Children of all ages will find hours of fun on one of three climbing walls, two expansive, age-appropriate play areas and the splash pad play area in the center of the park.

There is no admission charge to attend Centennial Center Park.

H2O'Brien Pool, Parker

The town of Parker's H2O'Brien Outdoor Pool features two 182-foot water slides, a waterworks play structure, a spray garden, sprays and geysers, a circulation and lap pool, a concession area and a shade pavilion.

Admission fees are $5 for adult residents and $4 for resident kids between 3 and 9 years old. Non-resident adults pay $5.50 and non-resident kids are $4.50. They offer season passes and 10-visit passes.

Splash Aquatic Park, Golden

Splash in Golden features two large body and tube water slides, a leisure pool with a play structure, small water slides, spray fountains, a 500-gallon dump-bucket, a beach-like sand area and a spray fountain play area for young children.

Admission is $9.50 for non-resident adults, $8.50 for JeffCo adults and $7.50 for Golden adults. Kids 6 to 18 are $8 for non-residents, $7 for JeffCo residents and $6 for Golden residents. Kids 2-18 are $5 for non-residents, $4.50 for JeffCo residents and $4 for Golden residents.

Apex Park, Arvada

The Apex Center in Arvada has a 23,000-square-foot indoor water park with a curved 150-foot tube slide and a body slide with a waterfall. There's also a vortex area with a moving current and zero-depth play area with slides, fountains, waterfalls and geysers.

Admission is $8.25 for non-resident adults, $6 for resident adults, $7.25 for non-resident kids (6-18), $4.75 for resident kids (6-18), $5.50 for non-resident younger kids (3-5) and $3.50 for resident younger kids (3-5). They also offer 20-punch cards and annual passes.

Pirate's Cove, Englewood

Pirate's Cove in Englewood features a 35-foot slide tower with three slides, a lazy river, a leisure pool with a large play structure and more.

Admission during the weekdays is $12 for non-resident adults, $8 for Englewood adults, $10.75 for non-resident kids 2 to 17 years old and $7 for resident kids. On the weekends, each admission price increases by $1.

City Park Pool, Fort Collins

The City Park Pool in Fort Collins features a 30-foot drop slide, an open curly slide, a lazy river, geysers and large play structure.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for youths 2-17 years old.

Brighton Oasis, Brighton

The Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park offers slides, a lazy river, a wave generator and a tot pool with interactive play features.

Admission is $7 for non-resident adults, $4.75 for resident adults, $5.75 for non-resident kids 6-17 years old, $4.25 for resident kids 6-17 years old, $3.50 for non-resident kids 2-5 years old and $2.50 for resident kids 2-5 years old.

The Bay, Broomfield

The Bay in Broomfield features two body water slides, two inner tube slides and a tot pool with an interactive spray-ground (water playground).

Admission is $9 for non-resident adults, $5 for resident adults, $7 for non-resident kids and $5 for resident kids.

Del Mar Family Aquatic Center, Aurora

Aurora's Del Mar Family Aquatics Center offers a 181-foot water slide with splashdown activity pool, a water playground with two slides and a zero-depth entry.

The daily fee is $5 for adults, $4.50 for young adults (18-26) and $3.50 for youth (2-17).

Deer Creek Pool, Littleton

Deer Creek Pool in Littleton has a body flume slide, a zero depth entry pool and some splash features.

Admission is $5.25 for foothills district resident adults, $7.25 for non-residents. Admission is $3.75 for resident kids up to age 17 and $5.25 for non-resident kids.

Weaver Hollow Pool, Morrison

Weaver Hollow Pool in Morrison has an inner tube slide, splash features and a zero depth entry.

Admission is $5.25 for foothills district resident adults, $7.25 for non-residents. Admission is $3.75 for resident kids up to age 17 and $5.25 for non-resident kids.
