A fireworks show in Fairplay, Colorado took a terrifying turn after a firework tipped over and ignited all of the other fireworks causing an explosion.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

That scene wasn’t the only problem in Colorado on the Fourth of July Holiday.

Safety officials across the state investigated several issues Monday.

In Commerce City, investigators are still looking into the cause of a small grass fire outside of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Firefighters put out the flames quickly.

South Metro Fire Rescue tweeted out several photos. One of them showing firefighters investigating bottle rocket fireworks that were found in burned grass behind the Acres Green Neighborhood near Park Meadows. Officials believe illegal fireworks sparked that grass fire.

Up north, Poudre Fire Authority officials also posted on Twitter about Independence Day fiascoes. They say they responded to 75 incidents, making it their fifth busiest day this year.

We want to note only some cases are being linked to Fourth of July fireworks.

Many others are only suspected cases.
