DENVER - After hours of closures on Interstate 25 this weekend, drivers will see some changes Monday.
Drivers on northbound I-25 will have a fourth lane from Santa Fe to 6th Avenue.
"Northbound drivers can use this additional lane to help improve traffic flow," according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
However, to make room for the extra lane, crews narrowed the lanes to 11 feet and also reduced the size of the shoulders in that area.
CDOT said it's a temporary fix until crews can permanently widen the highway.
