Three people hit by car after fight outside Denver Vietnamese restaurant; police looking for driver

2 men hospitalized in critical condition

DENVER - Police are looking for the driver who hit three people in a parking lot in southwest Denver.

A large fight broke out at the Maxim Lounge across the street from the Pho 96 restaurant near Federal and Mississippi just after 2 a.m., the Denver Police Department tweeted.

After the fight, a small, light-colored sedan sped out of the lounge parking lot and hit three people outside the Vietnamese restaurant, police said.  Two people were hospitalized in critical condition and the third was in serious condition.

A teen who lives across the street saw the whole thing happen. He looked outside his window after hearing loud noises.

"I was like,  'This is crazy'," the teen told 7NEWS. "We saw the people fly and everything."

The driver was last seen heading southbound on Federal. Police released a surveillance photo of the car.

The hit-and-run vehicle may be a white Honda Civic or a silver Subaru with a ski rack, according to police.  It may also have heavy damage to the front end.

The three people who were hit were not involved in the fight, police said.

If you see the car or know anything about the fight, call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
