Found shot in Aurora parking lot, man dies from injuries

AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police are asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a man found fatally shot in a parking lot shortly after midnight Saturday.

Officers were called to the 14200 block of East First Avenue, near Kingston Street, at about 12:27 a.m. on a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and found an adult male in the parking lot that had been shot. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Aurora Police Major Crime/Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were called out to the scene and took over the investigation.  There are very limited details as to the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
