Man's wife is now with him at hospital

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Fort Collins police have identified a 91-year-old man who was found lying in the snow early Tuesday morning.

Police said the man's wife is now with him at the Medical Center of the Rockies, where he is being treated.  His condition was unknown and police did not release his name.

The man, who lives in the 900 block of East Elizabeth, left home late Monday evening and was found about 5 a.m. Tuesday by a newspaper delivery driver on a sidewalk near the intersection of Garfield and Stover streets, police said.

When officers arrived, they said the man was unconscious, but breathing.

The man was wearing plaid pajamas with a white undershirt, blue jacket, a gray-and-white knit hat (seen above) and brown Rockport shoes. He had no identification on him.

Police sent out an alert Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., asking for help from the public to identify him.

By 1:40 p.m. the police said they had identified him, but did not say how.
