FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Fort Collins police are asking for the public's help in finding two people who stole a vehicle battery from a Super Walmart.

Investigators say the unknown man and woman walked in to a Super Walmart on Magnolia Street last Friday at lunchtime and walked out with a vehicle battery without paying for it.

In the parking lot, the couple took a backpack out of the bed of a pickup truck, police said. In the backpack were two laptops.

The man is described as white, with a medium build, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with short hair in his mid-twenties to early thirties.

The woman is described as white or Hispanic, medium-to-heavy build, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with long reddish-brown hair.  She was wearing a black T-shirt with the word “Love” on it with a yellow shirt underneath and black pants.

The couple left the Walmart in a green sport utility vehicle, possibly a GMC Suburban or Chevy Tahoe, police said.
