Fort Collins Police Detective Jason Jungmeyer charged with harassment, domestic violence

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - A Fort Collins police detective was arrested Thursday on misdemeanor charges of harassment and domestic violence.

The arrest of Detective Jason Jungmeyer, 37, followed an investigation by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, according to a Fort Collins Police Services statement.

Jungmeyer turned himself in to the Larimer County jail Thursday morning and was released on $1,000 bond, police said. He's scheduled to return to court on March 6.

Jungmeyer has been placed on paid administrative leave and an internal affairs investigation is underway, the police agency said.
