FORT CARSON, Colo. - A Fort Carson soldier says he's been unable to walk since he was injured when a train struck a veterans parade float in Texas.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports 31-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Richard Sanchez Jr. expects to return to Colorado next week.

Sanchez says he still has feeling in the lower part of his legs and hopes he'll be able to walk again.

Four people were killed and 15 were injured in the Nov. 15 collision.
