DENVER — Former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb was admitted into Denver Health Tuesday following an episode with diverticulitis last week.
Officials say the procedure will require him to be hospitalized for a few days, but it is expected he will be able to return home later this week.
Diverticulitis is inflammation of the digestive tract.
Webb served as mayor of Denver for 12 years beginning in 1991.
