FORT COLLINS, Colo. - A flood warning is in effect for the Cache la Poudre River at the canyon mouth until Sunday afternoon.
The warning was issued early Saturday morning by the National Weather Service.
At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the river was at 7.94 feet. Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
Minor flooding was occurring Saturday and additional flooding was forecast.
"The river may dip below flood stage Saturday, but is expected to climb above flood stage again Saturday night," the National Weather Service said. "Considerable overbank flow and localized flood occurs downstream in and near Fort Collins."
