ALAMOSA -- "Celebrate our country’s independence in the friendly town of Alamosa," the city's website says. The patriotic celebration starts with a Kiwanis pancake breakfast followed by a Main Street parade. Fireworks at dusk.

ARVADA -- Celebrate Independence Day at a free event at the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex, 58th and Oak Street, beginning at 4 p.m. Food will be available for purchase and fireworks will cap off the evening.

ASPEN -- Aspen's Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration starts at 8 a.m. with the 30th Annual Boogie’s Buddy Race and ends with fireworks over Aspen Mountain at 9:15 p.m.

AURORA -- Aurora's 4th of July Spectacular begins at 6 p.m. on the Aurora Municipal Building Great Lawn, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. The fireworks, slated to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m., are launched from Bicentennial Park which will be closed to the public. The best viewing locations include east of Potomac Street, south of Sixth Avenue, north of Mississippi Avenue and west of Buckley Road. The fireworks display will finish at approximately 9:58 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enter and exit the area using Chambers Road because of road construction with closed lanes on Alameda Avenue by the Aurora Central Library.

AVON -- The 30th annual "Centura Health & NexCore's Salute to the USA presented by The Westin Riverfront Resort" in Harry A. Nottingham Park takes place on Sunday, July 3, starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. 

BEAVER CREEK -- The Independence Day Celebration begins at 2 p.m. with free live music in Centennial Park, located at the base of the Buckaroo Gondola. This year's lineup features opening acts Tyller Gummersall, Jackson Michelson and Redhead Express, followed by multi-platinum country singer-songwriter Jerrod Niemann. After the music, stick around for a spectacular fireworks display.

BENNETT -- NO show will be held on 4th of July weekend this weekend.

BLACK HAWK -- The2016 Boom Town Fireworks Spectacular calls itself the largest display in Colorado. "Prepare to be wowed," Black hawk's website says. Weather and fire restrictions permitting, fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m.

BOULDER -- Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast will host a fireworks show at Folsom Field. Gates open at 8 p.m. The fireworks will begin as soon as it’s dark, at approximately 9:40 p.m.

BRECKENRIDGE -- Celebrate Independence Day with lively entertainment, free activities and dynamic family fun. Breck’s Independence Day celebration kicks off with a 10K trail run and continues throughout the day with the Firecracker 50 bike race leading the vibrant Fourth of July Parade on historic Main Street, a July Arts Festival, live music, kids' activities, concerts and so much more. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center followed by fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

BRIGHTON -- 

• Stars & Stripes, an Independence Day celebrationpresented by Conoco Phillips, will feature live music, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks display at the Adams County Regional Park, 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and finish around 10 p.m. Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
• The Brighton 4th of July Community Celebration will be 4 to 10 p.m. at Carmichael Park, located just behind Brighton City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave. This year’s celebration will feature free activities for children, as well as a variety of food vendors. DJ Tidalwave will kick off the musical entertainment at 5 p.m., which will include interactive activities, group dancing and more. The event’s headliner and local favorite, Romero featuring The Green Wall Brothers, will take the stage at 7 p.m. to entertain guests with four decades of rock ‘n roll and more! When the sun goes down, DJ Tidalwave will have a script writer on the east-facing wall of City Hall illuminating words and images with a laser. Immediately after, there will be a patriotic presentation. The city will cap off the evening with a spectacular fireworks display — weather permitting — beginning at 9:45 p.m.

BROOMFIELD -- Enjoy the Great American Picnic at Broomfield County Commons Park! The celebration starts at 5:30 pm with pony rides and inflatables. There will also be a free concert with contemporary a cappella group “17th Avenue Allstars” and “Wash Park.”  Bring your picnic dinner or enjoy a dinner from vendors at the park. Charcoal grills are not permitted. After the concert, at dusk, the fireworks display begins, approximately 9:30 pm.

BRUSH -- Brush will host its 62nd 4th of July Parade & Rodeo on 4th of July weekend. There are events Saturday, Sunday and Monday with fireworks Monday at 9:30 p.m. See the full schedule here.

BUENA VISTA -- The Fourth of July celebration starts with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. There's a concert, kids games, a pie sale and more events leading up to fireworks at dusk at the Rodeo Grounds on CR 321.

CANON CITY -- The4th of July picnic starts at 3 p.m. There will be fireworks off of Skyline Drive at approximately 9 p.m.

CASTLE ROCK -- The fireworks will blast off from the top of the butte above Red Hawk Golf Course, known as Santa Fe Quarry butte, just south of The Meadows on the west side of town. This high-flying show can be seen from almost anywhere in town. Avoid the traffic and celebrate from your own backyard or from anywhere you can see the butte. The show starts at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will last about 15 minutes. In the event weather cancels the show, it will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 9.

COLORADO SPRINGS -- The Colorado Springs Philharmonic will have its July 4th Concert/Summer Symphony at Memorial Park. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., the concert is at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks are at 9 p.m.

COMMERCE CITY -- The city and the Colorado Rapids are hosting what they call, "the largest public fireworks show in the state" at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (6000 Victory Way). Outdoor festivities kickoff at 5 p.m. with an inflatable obstacle course, bungee trampoline, Velcro wall, mechanical bull, food vendors, live music and more. The Colorado Rapids take on the Portland Timbers at 7 p.m. (tickets at www.coloradorapids.com) while free festivities continue outside the stadium. Denver band 888 performs live starting at 9 p.m. and again after the fireworks show. Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. following the game. Watch the fireworks live from inside the stadium (ticket holders only) or from the parking lots surrounding DSG Park.

COPPER MOUNTAIN -- On Saturday, July 2, at 9:30 p.m., fireworks will be shot off over West Lake in Copper's Center Village. Learn more.

CREEDE -- Creede's annual street festival is Sunday and Monday, with fireworks on Monday night.

CRESTED BUTTE -- The 4th of July Independence Day Celebration starts with a morning 1/3 marathon and pancake breakfast. There are events all day, including a parade at 11 a.m. and fireworks at the Base Area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort at 9:30 p.m.

CRIPPLE CREEK -- This year’s 4th of July Celebration will feature live entertainment in the Brass Ass parking lot at the corner of Bennett Avenue and 3rd Street. Enjoy an epic fireworks display up close and dazzling.

DACONO -- Colorado National Speedway will hold races and fireworks shows on Saturday, July 2, and Sunday, July 3. Get more information and ticket information here.

DENVER

• Civic Center Park will host Independence Eve -- a free community concert, light show and fireworks display on Sunday, July 3 at Colfax & Broadway beginning at 8 p.m. Lawn seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Arriving early is greatly encouraged, as are blankets or low-rise concert/beach chairs. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics; food truck concessions will also be available on-site. The event will take place rain or shine, and Chris Daniels and the Kings will play a pre-show bonus set around 5:30 p.m.
• Elitch Gardens will have a fireworks show at 10 p.m. Tickets required for park entrance.
• Green Valley Ranch will host a free concert and fireworks. Opening act, Paizley Park (Prince tribute band) at 6:30p.m., Mary Louise Lee Band at 7:30p.m. Fireworks begin after the concert at 9:30 a.m. Shuttles information and more information here.
• See the Outlaws game, then stay for post-game fireworks at Mile High Stadium. Get ticket information here.
• The Colorado Rockies fireworks game will be Saturday, July 9. Get ticket information here.

DURANGO -- The 4th of July events in Durango start with a pancake breakfast and a 5K fun run/walk at Rotary Park. At 6 pm, the Stars and Stripes Parade will be on Main Street. Immediately after the parade, come to 11th and Main for the Street Dance. The fireworks show starts at approximately 9:15 pm and good views can be found at any downtown cross street facing west.

EAGLE -- No fireworks at Eagle County Fairgrounds, but see Gypsum.

ENGLEWOOD -- The 4th of July Family Festival & Fireworks will be held at Cornerstone Park (5150 S. Windermere Street) and Belleview Park (5001 S. Inca Street). See which park is hosting which events here.

ERIE -- Erie and the Colorado National Gulf Club will host a 3rd of July Extravaganza on Sunday, July 3. Admission is free and open to the public.

ESTES PARK -- The Fireworks Show starts at 9:30 p.m. over Lake Estes! Find a grass spot at Stanley Park, along the Lake Estes Trail or on your favorite mountainside to join in this annual tradition of national pride.

FAIRPLAY -- The 4th of July Celebrationwill feature Richie Law, a parade, 5K race, fireworks and more.

FIRESTONE -- The 14th Annual 4th at Firestone events at Miners Park will include fireworks.

FLORENCE -- Florence is hosting three days of events over 4th of July weekend with fireworks on Monday night at around 9 p.m. Read more here.

FORT CARSON -- Fort Carson's 4th on the 3rd Star Spangled Salute celebration will be Sunday, July 3, from 4 to 10 p.m. at Iron Horse Park, 6751 Sheridan Ave. Fireworks start at approximately 9:30 p.m.

FORT COLLINS -- City Park will have live music and fireworks. From 4:15 p.m.-5:30 p.m., a patriotic band will take the stage, followed by another patriotic performance from 5:45 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The Fort Collins Symphony will play from 8:15 p.m. until the fireworks begin at about 9:35 p.m. over Sheldon Lake.

FORT LUPTON -- The4th of July Celebration starts with a pancake breakfast, then there's a concert, flyover, dancing and later fireworks at dusk at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center.

FRISCO -- If you are looking for an Independence Day celebration in a quintessential small mountain town, then Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July will fit the bill with big town amenities and great entertainment, but a small town feel, the town's website says. See the full list of events here. Fireworks over Lake Dillon are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. The best viewing is from the area around the Frisco Bay Marina with a simulcast of patriotic music on 93.9.

FRUITA -- The fireworks show will be Sunday, July 3, at dusk at Snooks Bottom Open Space.

GEORGETOWN -- The 4th of July in Georgetown celebration includes a 5K, parade and fireworks. The fireworks will be over Georgetown Lake at dusk.

GLENDALE -- Glendale will once again have an early fireworks show this year on Friday, July 1. As usual, the fireworks will be shot off in the 600 block of South Clermont Street in Creekside Park. Words of advice from Josh Bertrand, Director of Public Works: "A great place to watch fireworks is along Exposition Drive between South Cherry Street and the Four Mile House, but get there early people usually start “staking out” their picnic spots about 3 p.m. The Bull and Bush and the trail area across the street is also a decent place to view the fireworks. Or make a reservation on the roof top patio at either the Kitchen Next Door or Jax Fish House in Glendale."

GOLDEN -- The Golden Lions Club will be hosting the4th of July community celebration in Lions Park again this year. The celebration is designed to be a day for families, friends and neighbors to get together at the beautiful park on 10th Street. Activities start at noon and end in the evening with a large fireworks display.

GRANBY -- The Flying Heels Arena will have fireworks on Sunday, July 3, after the rodeo performance.

GRAND JUNCTION -- The 4th of July fireworks spectacular will be held after the GJ Rockies game. Buy a ticket and see the fireworks from inside the stadium or watch from Lincoln Park.

GRAND LAKE -- Grand Lake's 4th of July Celebration will include fireworks over the lake at approximately 10 p.m.

GREELEY -- The Greeley Stampede will host fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. following the Craig Morgan concert.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE -- Fiddler's Green will host a Fourth of July concert from the Colorado Symphony. Tickets start at $18.50. Look here for tickets and information.

GUNNISON -- See Crested Butte.

GYPSUM -- Come down to Lundgren Theater for the 4th of July Celebration. The evening starts with live music and free hot dogs and ice cream from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Then look up and enjoy a fireworks show synchronized to music!

HIGHLANDS RANCH -- Due to the development of the old fireworks launch site in Town Center, the 2016 July 4th Celebration and Fireworks event has been moved to Highland Heritage Regional Park. The celebration will start at 4 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park, concluding with the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

HOLYOKE -- The Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department Fireworks will be held at Holyoke City Park.

IDAHO SPRINGS -- Idaho Springs will be hosting an afternoon BBQ and live music downtown in Citizens Park from 2-9 p.m. Be sure to stay for the fireworks over the Charlie Taylor Waterwheel this year.

INDIAN HILLS -- The Fourth of July 2016 schedule of events does not include fireworks.

KEYSTONE -- Independence Day weekend events include fireworks on Sunday, July 3. The Free Fourth of July Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. and is visible from Lakeside Village.

KIOWA-- On Monday, July 4th the Kiowa Fire District’s Volunteerswill be hosting a Fireworks display at the Elbert County Fair Grounds (95 Ute Ave. Kiowa, Co 80117) at 9 p.m. Admission is free.

KREMMLING -- The small-townIndependence Day celebrationbegins at 6 p.m. in the Town Square with a bbq dinner, home-baked pies, live music and games for kids, and ends with a spectacular fireworks display off the cliffs at dark.

LAFAYETTE -- The Celebrate 4th of Julyincludes fireworks at dusk.

LARKSPUR -- The Perry Park Metro District is hosting a 4th of July Parade and Evening Concert/Fireworks event at the front of the Perry Park Country Club.

LA JUNTA -- The John Fisher Hose Fireworks Display will be held at the La Junta Rodeo Grounds at dusk.

LEADVILLE -- The 4th of July Celebration includes the Fire Cracker 5K, parade and fireworks.

LIMON -- The Limon Independence Day Celebration will be held Saturday, July 2, with fireworks at Gaskill Field.

LITTLETON --

• The 21st annual Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show will be held at Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks, near the intersection of Belleview and Windermere. There will be food, fun and games and a fireworks show at this free event sponsored by the City of Englewood, City of Littleton, and South Suburban Parks and Recreation.
• The Red, White and You celebration will be held at Clement Park on Friday, July 1.

LONE TREE -- Residents from Lone Tree and Acres Green are invited to attend Lone Tree’s Independence Day Celebration at Sweetwater Park. Wristbands were required to enter the Independence Day Celebration. The fireworks are scheduled for 9:15 p.m. (Wristbands sold out on Saturday. They will not be available at the gate)

LONGMONT

• Village at the Peaks will host a concert and fireworks show as part of its grand opening.
• Longmont 4th of July Fireworks Display will be held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds (Hover & Boston). The fireworks show is free, but no parking on fairgrounds. KGUD 90.7 FM will sync their music on air to the fireworks display! Get more info, including a parking map, here.

LOUISVILLE -- The 4th of July fireworks display will be held at the Coal Creek Golf Course. However, there's no parking at the golf course. Get shuttle and event information here.

MANITOU SPRINGS -- The Manitou Springs Volunteer Fire Department is proud to display the Fourth of July Fireworks once again! Magnificent views of the fireworks can take place in Downtown Manitou Springs. The fireworks will be shot off from Higginbotham Flats between 9 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Learn more by visiting the Manitou Springs Fire Department website here. 

MONTROSE -- This year's fireworks will take place at Sunset Mesa starting at dusk at Cerise Park on Rio Grande Avenue. Other celebrations will take place on Main Street beginning at 11 a.m. with a Fourth of July parade. Learn more at VisitMontrose.com.

MONUMENT -- Several 4th of July events will be taking place at Monument and the Tri-Lakes area. Starting at 7 p.m. till dusk, Fourth of July goers can enjoy the celebration with a fireworks display at Palmer Lake at around 9 pm. Learn more at MonumentColorado.org

MORRISON -- Bandimere Speedway will host the Jet Car Nationals and Family Festival on Saturday, July 2. There will also be rides, games, fun contests and activities. Admission starts at $25 for adults, $16 for kids.

NEDERLAND -- The Fourth of July parade will kick off the festivities at noon in downtown Nederland. Several events will be taking place between then and the fireworks display, which can be seen from Guercio Field over Barker Reservoir starting at around 9 to 9:30 p.m. For more information on the Nederland 4th of July festivities, visit their Facebook page. 

NORTHGLENN -- The July Fourth Festival starts at 6:30 a.m. at E. B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 1180 Community Center Drive. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking can be found at the RTD lot and the area behind City Hall. 

OURAY -- The Jeep "Glow" Parade begins around 8 p.m. at the Switzerland of America Overlook. Decorate your Jeep with twinkle lights and glow sticks. It is followed by Ouray's Fourth of July Fireworks and laser show display, provided by the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Ouray, the Ouray Jeep Raffle and the Mountain Air Music Series at Fellin Park. PARKER -- Celebrate Independence Day at the town's annual celebration, "Let Freedom Sing!" Fireworks will be launched at 9:30 p.m. Grab blankets and lawn chairs and set up to enjoy live music, festive food vendors, family activities and more! PUEBLO -- Rollin' in the Riverwalk will hold this year's 4th of July celebrations, with fireworks following the Pueblo Symphony concert, which begins at 8 pm. Fireworks display will begin at around 9 p.m. General admission is $3 per person; children 3 and under get in free. More information at PuebloRiverwalk.org

RIFLE -- This year's fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, and will be best seen at Centennial Park, 300 West 5th Street. Learn more at RifleCo.org.

SILVERTHORNE -- Fourth of July fireworks will be set off from Cemetery Road in northeast Silverthorne, but can be best seen from Memorial Park. The fireworks display begins at dusk (at around 9 p.m.). You can also tune in to 92.5 FM to hear music accompany the 35-minute show. For more information, visit colorado.gov

SIMLA -- The fireworks show is tentatively scheduled on July 4 at the Simla football field. 

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS -- The 113th annual Cowboys' Roundup days involve a hometown parade ending in a good old-fashioned block party at the Tread of Pioneers Museum. A fireworks show at Howelsen Hill begins around 9 p.m. Learn more at SteamboatChamber.com

STERLING  -- There's a Heritage Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Overland Trail Museum, and fireworks begin at sunset and are visible from the Home Depot parking lot. Learn more at LoganCountyChamber.com

TELLURIDE - After a morning foot race called the "Rundola," a parade and a BBQ in Town Park that everyone is invited to, the firefighters shoot off the fireworks just above Town Park, making for a display that you can see from almost anywhere in Telluride. However, fireworks are dependent upon the weather conditions, so check the forecast before heading out. Learn more at telluride.com

THORNTON -- A spectacular fireworks show follows a parachute jump at 9:30 p.m. Families can watch from Carpenter Park Fields at 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Learn more at CityofThornton.net

VAIL -- The parade will begin at Golden Peak at 10 a.m. on July 4 and will wind its way through the villages, ending in Lionshead. Fourth of July fireworks will take place at Golden Peak at dusk (around 9:30 p.m.). Fireworks will also be synchronized to a music soundtrack! Find out more at Vail.com.

WELLINGTON -- Fireworks will begin at dusk near Library Park. There's also a Family Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Centennial Park. Find more information here.  

WESTCLIFFE -- The 4th of July fireworks will take place at Lake Deweese at dusk. Festivities, however, begin in the morning with the July 4th Parade at 10 a.m. Visit their website here for more information. 

WESTMINSTER -- The fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. in the City Park soccer field, 10475 Sheridan Boulevard. There will also be venders from 4 p.m.-9 p.m., a Bender's Beer Garden presented by Oskar Blues, an Aerial Assault Performance every hour from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., a Colorado Car Show from 5 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., and a concert by Nacho Men from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visit the City of Westminster website for more.    

WHEAT RIDGE -- No fireworks on July 4. Fireworks still on for the Carnation Festival on Aug. 14-16 at Anderson Park. Learn more at thecarnationfestival.com.
