EVERGREEN, Colo. - A fire gutted a large home in Evergreen early Tuesday morning.
The Evergreen Fire Department was called to the house on Troutdale Scenic Drive at 1 a.m., the captain told 7NEWS.
Six people were believed to be inside at the time of the fire but they all made it out safely, the captain said.
At 6 a.m., crews were still working on hot spots.
There is a fire hydrant directly across the street but the extremely cold conditions presented an additional challenge for the crews. The temperature was just above zero at dawn.
Officials say the home has extensive damage.
