Fire damages Adams Co. apartment, no one injured

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. - Fire forced the evacuation of an apartment building Sunday night.

Witnesses told 7NEWS a neighbor noticed smoke in the hallway of the building on 76th Avenue near Pecos Street around 9:30 p.m. and called maintenance.

Maintenance opened the door of a nearby apartment, found black smoke and called the fire department.

Neighbors told 7NEWS a mother and her daughter live in the apartment, but their vehicle was gone last night.

It appears no one was injured.

There's no word yet what caused the fire.
