A fire broke out at an apartment complex in Federal Heights Tuesday.
The fire was reported just before 12:30 p.m. at the complex at Pecos and West 84th Avenue.
No one was hurt but the fire forced 20 people out of their homes, according to our partners at The Denver Post.
Fire Chief Sean Ellis told Denver7 a structural engineer was evaluating the safety of the building to determine when investigators would be able to go inside.
"It may take the rest of the week to get a report back," Ellis said. "I am afraid it is going to be a slow process."
For now, the cause remains undetermined.
