LYONS, Colo. (AP) — The FBI and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development are looking into Lyons officials' computers and documents as part of an ongoing investigation into the town's recovery efforts related to floods in 2013.

The Daily Times-Call reports (http://bit.ly/2dUV7F8 ) that Mayor Connie Sullivan said Wednesday that the two agencies are investigating flood recovery efforts, though little other information was revealed at the emergency town meeting she held.

Sullivan called the ongoing investigation "a challenging time" for the town.

Lyons was hit by major floods in September 2013. An audit by the Department of Homeland Security in April had found that the city was not following federal procurement rules when contracting for Federal Emergency Management Agency-funded work.

It is unclear if the recent investigation is connected to April's audit.
