LYONS, Colo. - A number of local, state and federal agencies are trying to find out who dumped a barrel of hazardous material in the parking lot of a Lyons restaurant.
The Boulder Sheriff's Department and Lyons Fire Protection District were called to the Black Bear Inn restaurant at 42 East Main Street at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, after the barrel was discovered.

The substance was identified and taken away by the EPA. The Boulder Sheriff's Office did not reveal what the barrel contained.
The container is described as a blue metal container, approximately 30 gallons in size. It was dropped off at the location at approximately 7:30 a.m. by a vehicle -- possibly a pickup truck.
