Family of slain Adams County woman, grandson hold vigil; police say no suspects in case

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. - The family of a grandmother and her grandson want answers three months after their deaths.

Raelynn Gonzales and her grandson Fabian were found dead inside an apartment on West 66th Place near Federal Boulevard in Adams County on Jan 3.

Adams County investigators are calling their deaths a homicide, adding there are no suspects or persons of interest.

Relatives are holding a vigil Thursday in memory of the two in a parking lot not far from the crime scene.

Gonzales's daughter, Dawn, is convinced someone knows something and hopes someone comes forward so justice can be served.

"We just hope somebody out there answers to what they've done," said Dawn. "They deserve justice they do. Not only them but us."

"The case is still active and we are continuing to search for any additional leads to bring closure to the heinous crime. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all that have been affected by this tragedy," Sgt. Paul Gregory told 7NEWS reporter Marc Stewart.
