DENVER - Former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb was taken to Denver Health Medical Center on Thursday where he is being evaluated and is in stable condition, the Denver Post reported.
Medical Center staff would not immediately say what Webb is being treated for, but he is likely to spend the night as a precautionary measure, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Webb was having lunch at a downtown restaurant before going to the hospital, an associate said.
Webb, 73, was mayor of Denver for 12 years, leaving office in 2003. He now heads Webb Group International, which is based out of downtown.
