JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – It’s a casting call that won’t land you a TV gig, but if you’re convincing enough, you’ll have given an aspiring officer the experience they need.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for members of the public to participate in role-playing scenarios with cadets at the police academy.

Some of the roles the sheriff’s office is auditioning for include bank robbers, terrorists, victims and witnesses.

In the past, the academy has used employees in these role-playing scenarios. For the first time, they're asking the public to get involved. They just hope you don’t take your acting skills too seriously and take the show on the road.

If you're willing to donate some time to help out in these real-life scenarios, just go to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office website to apply.

There are two caveats: you have to be 18 years or older, and you have to be available during the day Monday through Friday.
