ESTES PARK, Colo. - An Estes Park man faces three felony charges in the gun-related death of a 16-year-old girl.
Miranda Ann Casey died at the home of 21-year-old Thomas Decker Dodge in Estes Park on Dec. 12, 2012, the Estes Park Trail-Gazette reported.
Police arrested Dodge on Tuesday, following a lengthy investigation into the circumstances of Casey's death.
"No investigation is identical and we take the time needed to thoroughly consider every piece of information in all of our investigations," Cmdr. Eric Rose of the Estes Park Police Department told the newspaper.
Estes Park police submitted the findings of their investigation to the Larimer County District Attorney's office, which issued the arrest warrant for Dodge. He is charged with Dodge is charged with manslaughter, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and menacing, according the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
Police declined to release additional information on the allegations, and Dodge’s arrest affidavit has been sealed by the court, the Coloradoan reported.
Dodge is also being held on a failure to appear on a contempt of court charge filed in Denver, his booking report stated.
