DENVER - A convict who walked away from a minimum security facility a month age has been apprehended in Denver.
The Colorado Department of Corrections says 30-year-old Kenneth Gomez was arrested without incident Friday at 51st and Sheridan in Denver by the Fugitive Location and Apprehension Group (FLAG) Unit. He was alone and was detained without incident.
Gomez was working as a mechanic at the Colorado State Patrol Garage at Camp George West in Golden but did not report for a formal count on April 17.
Gomez was convicted of burglary and disturbing the public peace in 2011. He was sentenced to five years.
