ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - An 87-year-old man died in a three-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon in Englewood.
Englewood Police said that a pickup truck was traveling south on Broadway at a high rate of speed when it hit a sedan that was turning onto South Broadway at Rafferty Gardens Avenue around 5:40 p.m.
The 87-year-old was driving the sedan and died in the crash. Two other people in the sedan were injured and were taken to Swedish Medical Center for treatment.
After the two vehicles hit, they slid into a third vehicle, according to police. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
Police arrested 25-year-old Austin Cale on investigation of vehicular homicide charges. He is being held in the Arapahoe County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He is due in court Monday morning.
The identity of the man who was killed has not been released.
