Elderly man attacked outside Bingo World in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A senior citizen going to a bingo parlor on Wednesday night was attacked by three men who wanted his money, according to Colorado Springs Police.

The 74-year-old man told police he was walking into Bingo World on South Academy Boulevard around 6:45 p.m. when three men confronted him in the parking lot and hit him in the head with a gun.

The man said the would-be robbers wanted his money, but he refused to give them any.

The three men got away. The description the man gave of them was vague, mainly that it was three black men in their 20s. One was wearing a green jacket and carrying a gun. The other two were wearing hooded-sweatshirts.

The victim got a cut on his face from being hit by the gun. He was treated and released at a nearby hospital.
