Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 were closed between Parachute and Rifle early Monday because of an accident.
The incident began around 6:30 a.m. according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The closure lasted until about 10:30 a.m., through the busiest part of rush.
Traffic was being diverted to Highway 6 through the closure.
