LYONS, Colo. - The lone occupant of a mobile home in Lyons was hospitalized for smoke inhalation after the home and a car outside caught fire.
The fire on West Main Street was reported to 911 at 5:02 a.m. Detective Commander Rick Brough of the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said six fire departments, a rapid intervention team, an ambulance and the Longmont Emergency Unit all responded.
Photos taken by 7NEWS reporter Lindsey Sablan show the fire burned through the front wall of the house, revealing damage to the porch, roof and furniture inside. The right side of a Subaru station wagon was also badly damaged. The tail light was melted away and the windows facing the home were all damaged or missing.
Brough said the cause of the fire will be investigated by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
