DUI suspected after taxi slams into rear of Araphoe County patrol car

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – A suspected drunk taxi driver allegedly crashed into the rear of a parked Arapahoe County Sherriff’s vehicle Wednesday morning.

The patrol car was parked in the 6900 block of South Valentia Street in Centennial when the Metro Taxi minivan crashed into the vehicle. No one was inside the patrol car when the crash happened.

The Arapahoe County Sherriff’s Office said the taxi driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Deputies say a DUI arrest is pending once the driver is released.

The patrol car is considered a total loss.
