DENVER - Denver Police confirm to 7NEWS, that two men were flying a drone over the 4/20 rally in Denver's Civic Center Park late Sunday afternoon.
While police say they were not breaking any state or local laws, they were asked to leave the top of the McNichols Civic Center Building at 144 W. Colfax Ave., because they didn't have the proper permission.
Police did not file an incident report, and could not tell 7NEWS their names, where they were from and if they were working for a production company.
The drones got the attention of many of the 4/20 festival goers, who posted tweets on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration confirms the agency is looking into the incident, but its extent is unclear.
At the time, flight restrictions were in place over Coors Fields and extended into the downtown region because of the Colorado Rockies baseball game.
