Driver wanted in road rage hit and run in Colorado Springs on Saturday

Police are looking for a driver who left the scene of a hit and run in Colorado Springs Saturday morning.

Officers found a 30-year-old man with severe injuries on N. Academy Blvd. just after 9 a.m., according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. He had been driving a 2002 green Dodge Caravan.

Investigators say the man was involved in a road rage incident with a man in a truck with out-of-state license plates.

Both drivers stopped near Montebello Dr. West and the driver of the Caravan got out of his vehicle, police said. That's when the other driver hit him with his truck.

The truck may be a Toyota Tundra, police said. It's believed to be light blue or grey and may have damage on the passenger side of the front end.

The driver of the truck is believed to be white and possibly in his 30's.

The man who was hit was in critical condition but it is expected to survive.
