The woman accused of driving the wrong way in the HOV lanes and causing a deadly crash is facing charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
Rebecca Maez, 27, was released from the hospital and arrested, Denver Police Department officials said Sunday.
Investigators think Maez was going southbound when she slammed into a northbound vehicle on Interstate 25 near Auraria Parkway early Saturday morning.
A female passenger in the northbound car died. The driver of that car was taken the hospital.
Maez was convicted of driving under the influence in 2009, according to court records.
