DENVER – A man had to be cut from his pickup after he crashed into a support column under I-70 early Wednesday.
The crash occurred at the Washington Street underpass in the Globeville neighborhood.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and as of 3 a.m. was being taken for surgery. An update on his condition wasn’t immediately available.
Investigators believe the driver may have been speeding before the crash. They’re looking into whether alcohol may have been involved.
