COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A driver was killed when he or she crashed into an overpass on I-76 early Tuesday.
Police said the driver was headed westbound on the freeway when their vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the Peoria Street overpass at about 1:50 a.m.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not identified the driver.
Westbound I-76 was closed to traffic until about 5 a.m. due to the crash investigation.
