DENVER - A Denver Police Detective faces nine misdemeanor charges, including domestic violence and child abuse.
Daniel Diaz Deleon, 42, made his initial court appearance Monday, following his Sunday arrest.
He's being investigated for alleged domestic violence, child abuse, false imprisonment, reckless endangerment, harassment, obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest and prohibited use of weapons, according to court records.
The circumstances surrounding his arrest were not immediately available. According to court records checked Monday afternoon, it did not appear that he had posted the $5,000 bond for his release.
"We're aware that he was involved in an incident this past weekend," said Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson. "He's been asked to come in and speak with us, and we'll make a determination of his status at that time."
