DENVER – Chipotle Mexican Grill released more information about which Colorado stores were affected in a security breach in March and April in which hackers compromised stores’ credit card reader system.

The breach affected most of Colorado’s Chipotle and Pizzeria Locale locations. People can check here to see if the location they usually go to was affected, and the time period in which they were affected.

The breach was first reported April 25, but Chipotle says that an investigation by law enforcement, cybersecurity firms and card companies is now complete.

The company says that hackers installed malware on point-of-sale software, which searched through people’s credit card information contained on the magnetic strips.

The company says that “there is no indication that other customer information was affected” and that the malware has been removed.

But it suggests anyone who has noticed questionable credit card transactions to call their card provider.

The company already faces a class-action lawsuit because of the breach, which alleges that the company’s “elementary” cybersecurity led to the breach, as did its failure to implement chip readers for credit and debit cards.
