WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - About 100 people attended a candlelight vigil to remember the teenager killed in Friday night's hit-and-run crash in Wheat Ridge.
Family confirmed 18-year-old Jordan Sprouse was killed when a man crashed into Sprouse's car and another vehicle at West 32nd Avenue and Kipling Street Friday night.
Police said the driver, 23-year-old Alton Kirkland was speeding down the street with a woman and two children in his car when he hit the two vehicles and then got out and ran. The women and children were taken to the hospital but have since been released.
"To get this news was overwhelming beyond what you would expect as a parent," said Jordan's father, Jamie Sprouse.
