PUEBLO, Colo. - A domestic violence suspect is dead, after being shot during an incident with a police officer in Pueblo.
The incident began around 11:15 a.m. when officers were sent to an area near the intersection of Arthur Street and Abriendo Avenue, said police spokesman Sgt. Eric Gonzales.
Gonzales said the man came out of a house and fired at the officers after they arrived. Next, the man tried to run and officers followed a short distance until more shots were fired.
The man was hit and later died at Parkview Hospital about an hour later, Gonzales said. Nobody else was hurt.
Gonzales didn't know if one or both officers fired their weapons.
