DENVER – A big part of any trip can be figuring out where to eat and vacation rental site Airbnb is hoping to make that process easier.

Airbnb is teaming up with Resy, an online reservation app, to offer restaurant reservations directly through Airbnb’s website and app in several major cities, including Denver.

According to Airbnb, two-thirds of Americans make restaurant reservations when they travel and tourists spent $67 million at Denver-area restaurants in the past year, an increase of 68 percent over the year prior.

"Airbnb guests are looking for restaurants and experiences that allow them to live like locals, and this partnership will make it easier to for guests to discover Denver’s unique local dining options,” said Airbnb Policy Manager Marisa Moret. “We know our hosts are passionate about sharing their favorite local restaurants with guests and this is just another way Airbnb is working to support the Denver business community."

Resy is a relatively new app -- it launched in 2014 -- and its list of restaurants with available tables is a bit shorter than some of the more popular reservation apps. The Resy app listed a few more than a dozen restaurants taking reservations as of Wednesday morning. The site has 1.6 million registered users, according to Airbnb.
