DENVER – Relish this, foodies: Denver is one of the top cities in the country for food lovers, according to a new report.

Denver was ranked 18th on WalletHub’s list of the best U.S. cities for foodies, beating out major cities like Dallas, New Orleans and Nashville.

While Denver wasn’t ranked first overall (that honor goes to San Francisco), the Mile High City was tied for first place in the number of craft breweries and wineries per capita and also ranked first for affordability and access to highly-rated restaurants.

The ranking takes into account a range of factors related not just to quality and diversity of restaurants but also the wider food-related environment of each city, including cost of restaurant meals and groceries, access to healthy food options, coffee and tea shops per capita and food festivals.
