DENVER — With Englewood-based Sports Authority out of the picture and the holiday season around the corner, Dick’s Sporting Goods is looking to beef up its staff to meet demand.
The sporting goods chain announced Wednesday that it's looking to fill 200 part-time associate positions in the Denver and Colorado Springs area.
Dick’s said it is looking for those passionate about sports or the outdoors.

Dick’s is not the only retailer looking to fill positions for the 2016 holiday season. Other major retailers and companies announced thousands of job openings.
UPS will hire more than 1,600 peoplein the Denver metro area to prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
Kohl's plans to hire more than 69,000 additional workers to meet demand at more than 1,100 stores nationwide. Macy's plans to hire about 83,000 people. Target Corp. says it will hire more than 70,000.
