GOLDEN, Colo. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two people who were photographed apparently defacing a rock wall at Deer Creek Canyon Park.

Deputies said the alleged vandalism took place along the Plymouth Creek Trail just before 2 p.m. Sunday.

In photos posted on social media, a young woman appears to etch some lettering into the rocks while a man looks on.

Vandalism and trash have become problems at several parks around the state recently, including Hanging Lake and Daniels Park.

Anyone with information on this case should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 303-277-0211 and reference case number 17-12914.
