Experimental plane flips, crashes at Front Range Airport

WATKINS, Colo. - An experimental plane crashed at Front Range Airport Thursday.
The Dominator Gyroplane crashed during takeoff, according to Allen Kenitzer, FAA spokesman.
Bennett Fire Captain Tim McCawley told 7NEWS the pilot was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The pilot was the only person on board.
There was significant damage to the aircraft.
Both the FAA and NTSB are investigating this accident.
Front Range Airport is a general aviation airport with two 8,000-foot runways. The airport is about three miles southeast of Denver International Airport.
