DENVER – The White House gathered 50 different companies from each U.S. state in Washington Monday to kick off what it is calling “Made in America Week,” and the company chosen from Colorado is the oldest sign-making company in the country.

Gordon Sign, which was founded in 1904 and has made signs for Colorado businesses and businesses across the country for more than a century, represented the Centennial State at the product showcase, which was attended by President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other members of Congress.

“We’re excited to be representing the Colorado manufacturers here in D.C.,” the company’s CEO, Max Fulton, told Denver7. “It’s great to be here with other manufacturers.”

Fulton said the company was notified around noon on Friday that it had been chosen to represent Colorado, and Fulton said he and the company's president were there representing the company on Monday.

The company has more-recently designed signs for the Denver Broncos, United Artists Theaters, and Wendy’s, among many others.

But their early signs lined Denver’s businesses throughout the early 20th century. Check out some of their vintage signs by tapping the image below or clicking here.
