People living in one Denver area are dishing out some dough for the Donald.

According to the Denver Business Journal, there's a zip code in Denver-proper that is among the top 10 in the nation for individual donations to the Trump campaign.

The top donating zip code is 80237, located near I-25 and I-225.

The billionaire Republican nominee, up to this point, has mostly self-funded his campaign.

The new data provided by the Federal Election Commission was analyzed by the Wall Street Journal and shows which U.S. zip codes are donating the most to Trump and Hillary Clinton.

The 80237 zip code, centered around the north Denver Tech Center, ranks 7th nationwide in Trump donations. We talked to several people who live in or near that zip code.

"That's pretty weird and crazy to me," said Charlie Coyne, a Bernie Sanders supporter. "I would hope that people would vote more progressively and vote for immigrant rights."

"This zip code, yes, it does surprise me," said Eric Nelson, a Trump supporter at the moment. "If I had to decide today, I would go with Trump. Just because I think he's going to be the best for the job. I don't like where our country is today. We need some change. I don't know if another Clinton administration would do that."

"I don't see it. I don't see it around, but that's not saying it's not here," said Josiah Benjamin who says he is undecided at this point.

According to the data, no other Colorado zip code makes the top 20 for donations to either Trump or Clinton.

"I'm trying to decide who is the worst, and then pick the best of the worst," said Denver resident Sid Merzel.

All this said, it doesn't take much to be one of Trump's top zip codes.

The 80237 zip managed to make the list with just $10,800 in individual donations. Trump's top-donating zip code, 10022, in New York City managed only $25,000.

Compare that to Clinton's top donating zip code, 10023, also in New York City, with $1.1 million in donations. But, Trump has done far less campaign fundraising up to this point.
