DENVER - Dozens of runners in Denver will run their own version of the Boston Marathon on Monday to show their support for the runners nearly 2,000 miles away.
The Denver marathon, organized by Runner's Roost, starts at 8 a.m. at the South High School parking lot.
During Monday's Boston Marathon, runners and walkers in Denver can help raise money.
Nike will donate $1 for every mile logged on Monday on the Nike+ app, uploaded using the hashtag, "#StrongerEveryRun."
"For every one of those miles, Nike will donate a dollar to the Challenged Athletes Foundation," said Nike representative Kenyon Neuman.
"When somebody attacks something we love; something we hold sacred, everyone really unites," said Neuman.
