DENVER - A Denver SWAT situation is over after a barricaded man was brought out of a house at 28th and Larimer streets after a burglary suspect ran into a house there.

Police were called to the area on a report of a man breaking into cars at about 8:30 p.m.  When police arrived to investigate, they said a suspect ran into a house, sending the homeowner fleeing.

The SWAT team entered the house at about 10:15 p.m. and the suspect was seen being brought out on a stretcher.  He was being checked by paramedics.  His condition was not immediately known.

A small fire in the house was confined to the kitchen area of the home.  It broke out during the barricade standoff.

The block was cordoned off as the situation unfolded.
