DENVER - The Denver Police internal affairs bureau is investigating misconduct allegations against one of the department's longtime spokesmen, officials said.
Technician John White remains in his capacity as a public information officer while the bureau investigates the allegations, which were reported to police about a month ago, Lt. Matt Murray, the department's chief of staff, told our partners at the Denver Post.
Murray, who is also White's supervisor, would not elaborate on the nature of the complaints against him, but said the district attorney's office has not accepted any criminal charges stemming from the allegations, the newspaper reported.
White, a 15-year veteran of the department, declined to comment Thursday.
"It would be inappropriate for me to talk about an ongoing internal investigation," White told 7NEWS.
