Denver Police seek public's help to solve Park Hill homicide

DENVER – Police are reaching out to the community to help them solve a weeks-long homicide case in the Park Hill Neighborhood.

In the early morning hours of July 29, Virginia “Tweety” Verge was shot and killed as she talked with friends in a parking lot on the corner of East 33rd Avenue and North Hudson Street.

Police say an unknown man, who’s been described as having darker skin, possibly barefoot and wearing a bright headlamp, approached the group and opened fire.

It’s not clear if police believe the victim or the group were targeted.
