DENVER – Police are searching for several armed suspects who broke into a woman’s home early Wednesday and took off with cash.
Officers said three or four people with guns kicked in the front door of a home near 16th and Gaylord around 1:15 a.m. and demanded money. A woman who was home at the time tried to run away and broke her foot in the process, police said.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects left the home, breaking through a fence and fleeing in a tan or brown-colored pickup truck, according to police.
Officers said the injured woman was taken to the hospital.
