Suspect in deadly shooting on Yates Street released pending further review by DA, Denver Police say

DENVER - Denver Police say they have released the suspect in a deadly shooting near Sloan's Lake. The case will need to be reviewed by the District Attorney's office.

The shooting happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 1600-block of Yates Street. When officers arrived, they found one man was dead.

Police spoke with the suspect at the scene.

Although the police department reported the investigation on Yates Street was still active as of 6:33 p.m., they said the "suspect has been released pending further review of the facts of the case" by the DA.
